I cannot believe that my baby will be 1 in 2 months and 1 week. The last year has gone by faster than any other year of my life. I am starting to think of all the things I need to do for his birthday.
It is amazing how much planning goes into a party for a baby. Why am I even doing this? He won’t remember it. Oh yeah, it’s for me. I am not deluding myself. I know that an overblown, over the top 1st birthday party is not for my child at all. It’s for me. So the party planning has begun.
The theme, trains. The ideas abound. Train cakes, decorated with candy. Train cookies, iced with decadent, beautiful icing. Train whistles, engineer caps, engineer overalls, railroad crossing signs, train photo shoots, balloons, train cups and plates. TRAINS TRAINS TRAINS. I am obsessed right now. I know that it is silly, but it is also super fun. I am so excited.
