It has been quite sometime since I fell off the wagon. It kept on rolling, while I meagerly attempted to catch up with it. Now, I am realizing that the scale keeps creeping up, while I run to catch up, or just give up and sit on the curb, by the side of the road.
So, in an effort to curb my overeating, and jump back on the wagon, I am going to do something I have NEVER done before. I am going to post photos of my flabby, saggy midsection. Before you all judge me too harshly, remember, this was a belly that was stretched beyond capacity. It was a belly that took on the entire weight of my child. The few that were lucky enough to see me pregnant know that this belly did all the work. My hips were useless in taking on any of the baby carrying.
Now, although this belly is stretch marked, saggy, and baggy; it is also not as horrible as I thought it was. I am hoping, that by posting a weekly update of my gut, not only will it motivate me, but others struggling with the post-partum mommy body.
So without further ado, here is my mommy belly:
Stats:
- 9 and 1/2 months post partum
- 35 pregnancy lbs lost
- 20 lbs below pre-pregnancy weight.
- 20 lbs to go to be perfection!
And, here’s a picture of the cute one, to make up for the belly pictures.

I've fallen off too...it blows! At least I've been somewhat consistent with getting some exercise so hopefully I'll come out on the right side of the scale on tuesday. I've just got to stay away from the brownies I made last night. Oh and Max is so freaking cute! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Bree. I need massive encouragement. I cannot seem to get my eating under control. I think it is because of a insomnia and work stress. Ugh! I was hoping to have it off by Hawaii, but that is only 17 days away. Max's birthday is my new goal. We shall see. Keep cheering me on, and I will keep cheering you on!
