These pictures are a tribute to my perfect little man. I started off with a few pictures of me when I was pregnant with him, followed by a favorite picture (taken by me or Nate) from every month of his life.
I started with the pregnancy pictures because they are some of the most beautiful images of me ever committed to film. They are also, technically, the first pictures of him. He may not have been an outside baby yet, but as you can tell, he was definitely in there.
I started this thread exactly one year after my water broke. I didn’t post it on that day because I hadn’t yet taken a 1 year photo of him. But I started it with the distinct memory of Maxwell Joseph trying to enter this world. It was one of the most exciting and scary days of my life. Little did I know, at the time, it would be another 41 hours of anticipation, joy, fear, longing, and waiting before he entered this world. Serious, wide-eyed, quiet, and alert. He was finally born on April 11th, via emergency c-section.

Sniff. I love this retrospective. I have a similar thread started, and I am both thrilled and scared to death to finish it. Max is such a wonderful, adorable gift and Collin and I are so glad to know him (and you)!
